Billing Dept. is Difficult and Confusing

Billing is rude, difficult and confusing. Part of the problem is they never introduced themselves as a vendor for my procedure. Then. after they receive a thousand from insurance they send a bill. I actually had to do research to see if they are legitimate. Billing was rude when I simply wanted to confirm if any outstanding balance was owed. Maybe they should introduce themselves up front so the patient knows who they are. They certainly aren't saints.

Double billing me for service

I was prescribed the wrong medicine to clear my digestive tract for a colonoscopy. The procedure had to be re-done the next day. The surgeon did not bill me for the second procedure. St. Lucie Anesthesia Associates refuses to do the same, despite already getting paid once by me and twice by my insurer. Despite several phone calls and discussions, the person in charge has yet to call me about this. TOday a collection agency called. Absolutely unacceptable. This practice may have good doctors, but their operations need to be reigned in.
