Their staff is completely incompetent. My wife had an appointment 16 days ago and was diagnosed with a condition requiring a routine antibiotic. Icon submitted the prescription to the pharmacy without pre-authorization and the insurance company denied the claim. The insurance company stated that the provider only needed to submit a standard online form which all providers use. My wife called Icon 4 times to request the Rx and to leave a message for the Dr. The Dr. called her back several days after the appointment and she told him that she still did not have the Rx. As of today, Icon still has not resubmitted the Rx or the pre-authorization form. Their office staff stated that they are waiting on a letter from the insurance company. My wife had to ask her primary care Dr. to submit the Rx and she was able to pick it up from the pharmacy a few hours later. In the meantime her eye condition has worsened. We will never use this provider again and recommend that you don’t either.
