After 4 sessions with Aviva, we managed to be blind-sided by her approach. At first, the fact that she was reading from text rather than speaking with us directly during zoom sessions was just a strange quirk rather than an issue. However, when we learned more about the text, we learned that she was relying on text that's been largely proven to be harmful to children and written in 1984. Simply put, what Aviva is teaching causes long-term harm to your child. She believes in harsh behavioral punishment in order to exert absolute control over a child. While her tactic does achieve parental freedom, it does so at a high cost to the child. Worse of all, Aviva was unwilling to hear constructive criticism and consider current research. She was 100% reliant on dated materials. I feel quite sad to have ever crossed her path.
