I’ve been in constant pain for days, desperately needing an MRI referral Providence was supposed to send. I first contacted them on a Friday, and by Thursday, nothing had changed—just “It’s pending” with no real explanation. Over four days, I’ve called Blue Shield multiple times and spoken to six different people at Providence, hoping for answers or even basic empathy. Instead, I got dismissive responses and robotic apologies. Someone even hung up on me after coldly saying, “You just have to wait.” Now they claim the earliest appointment is Tuesday but can’t say why it’s so delayed. Their “caregiver” title feels like a cruel joke. My well-being seems irrelevant, and their approach is heartbreaking. Health care should mean compassion, but I feel abandoned. If you need prompt, empathetic support, look elsewhere—my experience has been disheartening. I can’t believe I’m living this nightmare just for a simple MRI. Pain doesn’t wait, and patients shouldn’t either.
