First OC Dermatology - Fountain Valley

I have received excellent care and services for both precancerous and cancerous skin issues for the past two years at First OC Dermatology. The staff is friendly, professional, and thorough. I had a difficult skin cancer surgery which was handled very skillfully and was well coordinated with the plastic surgeon. I am very thankful and pleased with the outcomes. Two thumbs up!

Friendly front office.Dr. Nguyen gave me a good body check and explained everything I had concerns about and answered all my questions.I would recommend her to anyone who needs to see a dermatologist.Her assistant was also friendly and very professional.

David Sanchez was the Physician's Assistant for Dr. Lacquer. He was most professional, yet caring, attentive and listened closely to my concerns. I was, I must confess amazed. I'm old, 76 and used to care that seems driven entirely by modern standards in terms of visit length and 'glossing over' what the patient says in favor of directive language.

Office staff is very good and friendly ! David Sanchez is very knowledgeable and friendly and a great doctor! I had a few extra things to discuss and it was all taken care of with no problems. David takes his time every time I see him and always leave feeling my needs and questions were answered and met!

I saw Stephanie Ashqar, PA. And had a great visit. The office is clean and run well. Stephanie listened to all my questions and preformed a thorough exam.

Vincent Meng, P.A. and his assistant Jenny were knowledgeable, friendly and kind.the office people were very good also.

Today was my first visit to OC Dermatology and the entire experience wonderful. The front desk was pleasant and efficient. Stephanie the PA and Dr Laquer were so caring, patient and helpful. I can't overstate how pleased I am with this office.

I stopped by your office to schedule an appointment and instead I was able to see a doctor within the hour. Very nice. Doctor Nguyen was very professional and although his prognosis was not good, I left knowing exactly what I was up against and the treatment that was to follow.

All my needs were met

I needed an urgent appointment to check out an unusual lesion . OC Dermatology came through and got me in quickly and a biopsy was performed . The office personnel are friendly and efficient. The Drs and PA are very good at explaining all procedures and answering all of my questions.

David is so easy to work with. He takes great care to give you the best results. He explains what he plans to do, and why. He does a little at a time to see how your skin reacts and I have not experienced any issues with his approach, and I prefer it that way. I may need to make more trips to get the results, but totally well worth it. He's a very nice and super-efficient PA with a great bedside manner.

Today's visit was for the 3rd procedure they've performed on me, 2 for skin cancer-related issues & the other for a polypoid excision. Dr. Nguyen performed the 1st 2 procedures, & Dr. Martin performed the last. All went well with no issues. Support staff of PAs & Med Techs were very professional & friendly. All wanted to know how I thought things went, & if I had any questions.

I like it that their appointment is very spot on. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes from my appointment time. Some of the PAs are pretty hot too... lol

I walked into the front waiting room to check in and saw how many people were here. I was kinda thinking it was going to be a long wait. I even asked some of the people how long they had waited for but no one replied (None English Speaking). I was relieved when I was called in no more than 5 mins. Wow...! I seen and taken care of under 20 mins. total time.

I have been frustrated and disappointed in the interactions I have had since I started seeing Dr. Nuegyn in Feb. I have a very high risk of skin cancer and after 6-8 appointments I have yet to have a conversation about how to care for my skin. The only comment he said was “wear sunscreen.” My interaction with the Dr was no more than 2 min per visit and instead of addressing my questions and concerns, he just told me to book another appt and would walk out the door. My final visit was yesterday. I need to have a biopsy done after the initial screen found some abnormalities in a mole. The first procedure was painful, the dr didn’t attempt to determine in the local anesthetic was working until after he cut my foot with a scalpel and I cried out in pain. He said he could work on me and to refer me to a surgeon who could give me a general anesthesia. I requested a referral to a new practice and dr. I will never recommend this office. The lack of care for their patients was evident.

Limited parking, VERY long wait (45 minutes), limited seating (stood for most of wait time) - chaotic waiting room but very professional staff who kept their cool. Will not return.

David Sanchez is great! He listens, and answers my questions thoroughly. Treatments are working well, and my skin is looking and feeling better. The whole office works as a team and is very professional.
