I was there in May for a sinus infection. I did not sign the form to allow tests and or labs because I know myself and I also know why antibiotics I respond to. However, the MD insisted on a PCR test. I inquired about my insurance and the MA assured me it was covered. I didn’t want to be difficult, so I acquiesced. I have never received the results and now 8 months later I have a bill for 100 dollars. I was taken by Premium Urgent Care for something I knew I didn’t need. Patients have rights and refusing something is one and informed consent is another including a reasonable estimate of the cost. On the good side, Premiun Urgent care is close to home and fairly quick.
