I had an initial screening with Dr Peterson, who took a full health history and explained the colonoscopy procedure, including risks and benefits. I was immediately scheduled for the procedure and given instructions for prep. My insurance did not cover the initial prep prescribed, so they prescribed something else that was cheaper. The surgery center experience was great. I was checked in and only had to wait about 10 minutes before being called back to the pre procedure area. The nurses and techs were very professional and friendly. Dr. Moussa ended up doing my colonoscopy as Dr. Peterson doesn't do procedures anymore. He was great. He started my IV and talked to me about my history. My IV actually infiltrated (I have bad veins), but Dr. Moussa was calm and professional, and started another one and got me properly sedated. I was very comfortable during the procedure,woke up at the end of it and didn't have any pain. The whole experience was positive.

Dr. Peterson does not look at your chart first before dispensing medical advice if you leave a message with a question. The front office staff is not familiar with medical terminology or procedures, and you will find yourself having to explain things to them that they should already know.
