purposefully charging twice
the only thing worse than being charged twice is having to deal with grand canyon anesthesia's braindead service dept. I can provide proof that their representative monica told me that her department does not check to see if checks or money orders have been received before they call to threaten customers with legal action. That means they can call after receiving payment, threaten you, then receive a second payment, cash both, and if you're not smart enough to constantly check your bank account you will be charged twice.

This organization is not ethical, went to an approved clinic for a colonoscopy and had no choice in who my anesthesiologist was. This was supposed to be covered 100% under my wellness plan. I get a bill a year and a half after the procedure for over $2000 for a 30 minute procedure. They would not negotiate their fee and insurance pays $262 over a year ago and they came to me wanting payment. If they contract with an in network clinic they should expect to be paid their fee. Shame on them and the person who did the procedure is no longer there!!!

Out of network Anesthesiologist when every other provider, facility and hospital has a contract so they are in network with most insurance plans. You don't get to choose your Anesthesia team but they get to choose to send you an outrageous bill after the procedure. Endoscopy Center Bill $1100.00 In Network Discount $693.78 Cigna Pays $345.29 I pay $60.93 Gastroenterologist Bill $936.00 In Network Discount $585.60 Cigna Pays $350.40 I owe nothing because it was a Diagnostic Colonoscopy covered by my plan Anesthesia – Anesthesiologist Bill (Never saw and Anesthesiologist but I get to pay for it anyway) $1,138.00 Nurse Anesthetist Bill $1,138.00 Same as the MD! Discount NONE because Anesthesiologists refuse to negotiate In Network Contracts with Insurance Companies Cigna Pays $48.69 (If the Anesthesia Team had a contract they would have been paid more but you get what you (don’t) negotiate) I pay $2,178.62!!! the amount not covered because I had anesthesia provided by a Nurse whose MD
