Family Practice Physicians

If this is what medical practices have come to, especially for the elderly, then I feel sorry for this country. The purpose of medicine is not to ration care based on a person's age. The purpose of medicine is not to tell someone they should not get treatment because they are over their life expectancy. The purpose of medicine is not to ask the patient what they want the doctor to do. The purpose of medicine is not to tell a patient that if they want surgery just to let them know, but to offer no other guidance. The purpose of medicine is to attempt to help guide patients how to heal and not to lecture them. Perhaps we went in without the right questions, and are anxious about the outcome, but the blood tests spoke for themselves. There was no guidance provided...Very Disappointed.....and an uncomfortable experience!!!!

Made an appointment to get a medicine check and was specifically told that the nurse practitioner could prescribe my medication. Went in and the NP told me she couldn't prescribe my medication and that the person who made my appointment should have known that. Received no other services and was charged over $200.
