Hello! My name is Lisa Warden and I am a licensed Social Worker. Prior to completing my college, I worked as a massage therapist. I am very aware of the mind-body connection and how we can use our body to heal our mind. I've worked most of my career with helping those in recovery from Trauma, addictions, and personality related issues. These symptoms often really hold a person captive and away from the fulfillment of potential and in a constant state of survival. It gets me very excited to see a client who has been through hell, begin to thrive and enjoy life in a way they may have not thought possible. It can be very challenging to reach out for help and schedule a session. I offer a warm and flexible style (and often include humor) and I actively work to meet each client where they are and offer the encouragement and the skills to assist getting clients to where they'd like to be. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and live in Northern Illinois. I have helped people get in the right state of mind to enjoy life since my first job at age 15 years old. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation and a Masters Degree in Social Work. Even more, I have many experiences in both areas and combine them to brighten life for everyone involved. My goal is to make the most out of each day, starting now.

I am first, a client-centered therapist. I believe therapy should be about the client and be met with unconditional positive regard. There is no place for judgment in therapy, and I am here to help you process and make your own decisions, not to tell you what to do. I've been in practice over eight years with a focus on substance use, trauma, and LGBTQ+ issues. I can be solution-focused; however, I believe in listening to the client above anything else. I am trained in EMDR and very comfortable in using this modality via telehealth. I use Gestalt Therapy techniques, along with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients explore ongoing emotions in the here and now. I earned a Master of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Capella University. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I am fluent in English and Spanish.
