Dr. Oluchukwu Oluoha is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist who cares for patients with a wide range of hematologic and malignant conditions. Dr. Oluoha trained in general internal medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL, and went to work as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Meharry Medical College. During his time at Meharry, he received the Faculty Award for Excellence in Patient Care, awarded to physicians who go above and beyond best practices to deliver extraordinary care. He was also recognized by residents for superior teaching skills, winning the Outstanding Teaching Award. To pursue his passion for Oncology, he subsequently completed fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Prior to joining Texas Oncology, Dr. Oluoha worked at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI practicing medical oncology & hematology while training fellows, residents and medical students. Dr. Oluoha has demonstrated a strong commitment to patient-centered care and medical education. He's also made significant research contributions through publications in peer-reviewed journals and roles as institutional principal investigator in several clinical trials including NCI cooperative group trials. Dr. Oluoha is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, improving patient outcomes and advancing clinical trials at Texas Oncology. He currently sees patients at two locations in the Houston metro area, with access to multidisciplinary care including medical, radiation and surgical oncologists, genetic evaluation and clinical trials.

Dr. Nima Goharkhay is the Medical Director of the Pregnancy Specialty Center of Texas. He is board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). He is a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine (SMFM) and the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (ACOG). Dr. Goharkhay holds a PhD in Cell Biology. Prior to founding the Pregnancy Specialty Center of Texas, he was Medical Director at Texas MFM, and a perinatologist with Maryland Perinatal Associates in the Washington DC area, where he also served as Quality Control Representative. He is a Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was a Women's Reproductive Health Scholar and faculty member at that institution until 2009. Dr. Goharkhay has a strong interest in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, diabetes in pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis, maternal complications in pregnancy and developmental programming of disease. He has participated in research studies sponsored by the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network of the NICHD and has had independent research support by the NIH and the National Perinatal Foundation, among others, and has authored numerous articles. He was recognized for his research by the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine and was Researcher of the Month at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in December 2007. Dr. Goharkhay was honored by the BIRTH organization in both 2015 and 2016 for his support of the midwife and natural birth communities in the Houston area. Dr. Goharkhay completed his fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and his residency at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He earned his medical degree at the University of Vienna in Austria and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He is fluent in Spanish, German and Persian.

Dr. Martina Ayad was born in Egypt and moved to Houston at age 15. Martina frequently says that her father is her inspiration. He was a pharmacist in Egypt and persevered to complete the exams to become a pharmacist in America and Houston. Martina completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry and philosophy at the University of St. Thomas. She attended medical school at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Martina completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB Health). Martina is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine. Before joining Dr. Rowe and Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates of South Texas, Dr. Ayad was an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. She served as the chairperson for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
