Following my surgical training, I began my surgical career in Richmond, Virginia. It was during the first year, with the mentorship of an incredible partner, that I discovered my passion for breast cancer care. With his mentorship, I have developed my practice to provide the best surgical care, but to also treat the person and family as they go through their journey. \n After practicing in Virginia for eight years, I wanted to return home to South Carolina and my family. \n In my short time here, I have worked to build our clinic with that same focus on breast care and breast cancer surgery and treatment. Patient care and experience are my top priorities, ensuring the best possible care in a warm, clinical environment supported by a friendly team. \n I specialize in many areas of breast surgery, including benign and malignant breast disease, as well as general surgery, including hernia repair, gallbladder disease and gastrointestinal surgery. \n When not working, I spend time with my family enjoying and reveling in the beauty of the outdoors with many sports and activities. We fish, explore the area boating, walk the beaches and enjoy all the Lowcountry offers.

Soon after beginning my medical career as a general surgeon in Beaufort, I discovered a passion for helping patients regain their lives through weight-loss surgery. \n I'm certified to perform bariatric surgeries through the da Vinci robotic platform. But beyond leading-edge technique, I think it's my approach of treating the person - not just the medical issues - that has been a driving force behind my patients' long-term success. \n I've been practicing in the Low Country since 2002, which has allowed me to develop long-term relationships with my patients and guide them through challenges they may face, even decades after their surgery. \n Throughout my tenure in Summerville, South Carolina, I've been honored to receive national recognition for patient satisfaction, including the First Humanitarian Award given by the HCA Healthcare, for my commitment to patient dignity and care. \n My wife, our two children and I love to fish, kayak and explore.
