Dr. Jon Hemstreet grew up in the foothills of North Carolina and graduated cum laude from Duke University. He attended Tulane Medical School where he was awarded the American College of Physicians Internal Medicine Award for Excellence in 1999. Dr. Hemstreet completed his Family Medicine residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, an affiliate program of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Hemstreet is passionate about promoting wellness through diet and lifestyle modification. He is an avid nature enthusiast and promoter of Payne Prairie Preserve State Park.

Dr Wiggins specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology and serves as the physician administrator for Asheville Eye Associates. Following his fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology, Dr Wiggins served for one year as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric Ophthalmology at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and since 1991 has practiced at Asheville Eye Associates. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Board of the American Association of Ophthalmic Executives, and the Board of the Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company.
