Dr Hu is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with Honors and Distinction, in addition to receiving the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship and the President's Award for Academic Excellence. She specializes in providing care for patients with complex medical dermatologic conditions such as granulomatous skin conditions, hidradenitis suppurativa, cutaneous complications of inflammatory bowel disease, pyoderma gangrenosum, and autoimmune conditions of the skin such as lupus, dermatomyositis, and autoimmune blistering disorders. She has an interest in caring for patients with cutaneous adverse effects of oncologic therapy including immune related adverse events due to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Dr. Coromilas is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), as well as a member of the Medical Dermatology Society, Society of Dermatology Hospitalists, and Women's Dermatologic Society (WDS).
