As a former intercollegiate soccer athlete, Dr. Lisa Kaplin has enthusiasm for all things sports- and fitness-related.This passion carries into her practice as a physician and surgeon, where she helps patients get back to competitive sports, recreation and fitness.Having enjoyed biology and other sciences while an undergrad at Brandeis University, Dr. Kaplin was particularly drawn to the field of medicine by a fascination with the ability of her fellow athletes to both avoid and overcome injury.Afterward, she went on to earn a masters in medical science from Boston University followed by a D.O. from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. During the course of her early career Dr. Kaplin covered teams in hockey, rugby, basketball and football. Dr. Tjoumakaris is board certified in orthopaedic surgery with a subspecialty certification in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. He has authored numerous peer reviewed publications and book chapters in premier orthopaedic journals and lectures regionally, nationally, and internationally on his orthopaedic research. Dr. Tjoumakaris is the Associate Director of the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Program as well as the Associate Director of Sports Medicine Research and serves as an instructor at numerous arthroscopy courses. Dr. Tjoumakaris specializes in sports medicine and shoulder surgery with special expertise in shoulder, knee, and hip arthroscopy and reconstructive procedures.

Dr. Daniel is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson Medical College and is the Residency Program Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rowan University. He completed Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and Fellowship Training in Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Daniel has written numerous peer reviewed scientific papers, and several book chapters and has presented his research nationally and internationally on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the foot and ankle. He is currently involved in the development and design of specific implants for patients with deformity related to diabetes mellitus and trauma. He draws on his experience in the management of all aspects of foot and ankle surgery to include deformity correction, sports injuries, arthroscopy, reconstruction, fracture management, arthritis, neuromuscular conditions (to include stroke and cerebral palsy) and ankle replacement surgery. Dr. Daniel is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, where he serves as a member on two national committees. Dr. Daniel proudly served his country on active duty for 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army.
