As a family medicine practitioner, I strive to provide comprehensive, evidence-based and individualized patient care. Through continuity and relationship, my goal is to get to know each patient as a whole, addressing the physical, mental and social aspects of their health. Particularly, I am interested in learning about my patients' previous and childhood experiences and how those experiences may impact their health outcomes and behaviors. I enjoy taking care of a diverse population of patients of all ages, gender identities and cultural backgrounds and am grateful for the opportunity to do so in St. Paul.

I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and taking care of patients through every stage of life. Being a family medicine provider allows me the unique opportunity to take care of a many members of a family: newborns, adolescents, adults and even the grandparents. I like continuity of care and preventive measures that I can provide as a family practice provider. My special interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, geriatrics, pediatrics and women's health. When I meet with patients, I strive to treat them as I would like to be treated. I am a great listener, and I listen more than talk. I believe in working together with my patients to achieve their health care goals, and this often means partnering with other clinic teams and specialists. Outside of my practice, I enjoy gardening, outdoor activities and spending time with my spouse and three kids.

I chose to practice in family medicine because it gives me an opportunity to see patients of different age groups, and sometimes to see members of the same family. Another thing I like about this practice is providing continuity of care. When patients come to see me, I can address the reason behind that visit and also address other chronic problems and preventive services needed. Throughout my career, I have understood that being a doctor not only demands extensive knowledge and skills in diagnosis and treatment, but it also requires humanistic qualities of integrity, sensitivity, empathy and compassion to treat patients effectively. I like to care for diverse patient populations and am glad to have this opportunity at HealthPartners.

I am pleased to be with HealthPartners and to practice in the growing Woodbury community. My practice serves the health needs of a broad spectrum of patients, from teens to seniors. I am especially interested in skin biopsy, women's health, anxiety and preventive health care for patients of all ages.
