I have spent 10 years working within short- and long-term addiction rehabilitation facilities, outpatient therapy in clinical setting with children and adults, therapist for Drug Court, children and families in school setting before entering private practice. I have enjoyed working with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life. I am very flexible and easy to communicate with whether it be verbal or written. My treatment approach is client centered and solution focused while utilizing motivational interviewing. I also utilized cognitive behavior techniques integrated with the others. I received my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville. As an LCSW, I am qualified by training and experience to treat adolescents, families, and adults. Given authority to practice independently of supervision from the Kentucky Board of Social Work, I stay up to date on continuing education, as required by my governing board and adhere to strict ethical standards. I have over fifteen years of clinical experience providing individual, group and family therapy to adolescents and adults with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, and substance abuse.
