In 2001, I was in a severe motorcycle accident that left me in such intense, debilitating pain that I couldn't even walk. I was entirely bedridden and was beginning to mentally withdraw in response to the possibility of being disabled for life. I was afraid of the quality of life I would continue towards if I did not overcome my desperate need for more and more pain medication. After considering surgery, I decided against it. A friend of mine suggested I give chiropractic a try, but I just didn't believe it could help. Out of desperation, I went to see him. The chiropractor did an exam, took some films, and then adjusted my spine. The adjustment didn't hurt, it actually felt good. I got relief, and I could finally walk again. It worked so well that I went to chiropractic college myself. It's strange how life is, because now people come to see me for their pain.
