Born and raised in the Philadelphia area Dr. Braut is the youngest of 5 children all of whom are in the medical field. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology where he was active in Cancer research. Dr. Braut received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. Following his residency, he completed an AO Trauma Fellowship in Fribourg, Switzerland.
