Dr Pinilla-Ibarz has been at Moffitt since 2006 and holds the rank of Senior Member and Head of Lymphoma Section in the Department of Malignant Hematology. Dr Pinilla-Ibarz received the 2016-17 Moffitt Physician of the Year Award. He was also the recipient of the ASCO young investigator award in 2003 and the ASCO career development award in 2007. Dr Pinilla-Ibarz is nationally and internationally known for his expertise in chronic leukemia and he currently has over 120 peer-reviewed publications. He has received grant support through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and also from multiple industry partners. His clinical interests include chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphoid leukemia.

Dr Komrokji is the Vice chair of the Malignant Hematology Department and the head of the Leukemia and MDS Section at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is a senior Member of the Malignant Hematology and Experimental Therapeutics Program at the center, and a Professor in Medicine & Oncologic Sciences at the College of Medicine at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, Florida. After earning a medical degree in 1996 from the Jordan University School of Medicine, Dr Komrokji completed an internship and residency at Case Western University, St. Vincent Program. He then completed a fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester, in Hematology/Oncology and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.

Dr. Puri received her MD degree from Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana, India. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Farmington, followed by a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa. Dr. Puri joins us from the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, where she was appointed Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology. During her time at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, she served as the Physician Leader for the Thoracic Clinical Trial Research Group; in that role, she managed the ongoing and future clinical trial portfolio. We are excited for her to partner with Dr. Andreas Saltos in the role of our Clinical Research Medical Director to drive the clinical research vision and manage our trial portfolio. Dr. Puri's clinical interests involve treating patients with thoracic malignancies including non-small cell and small cell lung cancer. Her research interests include development of clinical trials for patients with thoracic malignancies with emphasis on immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other novel therapeutics.
