Dr Fontaine received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and completed his general surgery residency at Boston University. In 2006, he graduated as chief resident in thoracic surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard Medical School. Dr Fontaine began his thoracic surgery practice at University of Montreal but was then recruited to become part of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Brown Medical School in Providence, RI. He was in charge of developing a thoracic surgery program at one of Brown University's teaching hospitals. In 2011, Dr Fontaine joined Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL - the 3rd largest cancer center in the United States.

Dr Baldonado received her MD degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. She remained at the University of the Philippines to complete an integrated residency in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. She then completed a Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center, followed by a Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr Baldonado's clinical interests are in minimally invasive lung cancer and esophageal cancer surgery, including lobectomy, segmentectomy, esophagectomy, and the management of chest wall tumors. Her research interests focus on ground glass opacities as initial presentation of lung cancers as well as surgical outcomes.

Dr Freyaldenhoven received his MD degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine, where he also earned his MS in biochemistry and molecular biology. He completed a Research Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Division of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery then he completed a General Surgery Residency at the University of South Florida. Dr Freyaldenhoven most recently completed a Clinical Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Division of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.

Dr Robinson, a native of Kansas, received his undergraduate B.A. degree in anthropology at the University of Kansas and his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his internship and residency in general and cardiothoracic surgery at the Duke University Medical Center. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in cardiac research and clinical cardiac surgery at the St. Thomas' Hospital in London. He also served as a Flight Surgeon at the rank of Major, USAF in Thailand during the Vietnam War.
