As a board-certified OB/GYN, Camela McGrath, MD, FACOG makes sure her patients' safety and well-being is a top priority, but she also enjoys interacting with the women under her care at North County Women's Specialists. Dr. McGrath earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she was awarded a prestigious in-state scholarship. She went through her residency training at Columbus Hospital in Chicago. During her residency, Dr. McGrath served as chief resident and was elected ``Resident Teacher of the Year`` by her peers. She maintains her board certification through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. McGrath is also a fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Honored by the privilege of helping bring life into this world on a regular basis, Dr. McGrath enjoys providing obstetrical care for women, including those who have special needs due to high-risk pregnancies. Dr. McGrath is even a go-to physician for teenagers and young patients who need contraception and safe sex practices counseling. Damon Cobb, DO, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Damon Cobb OB/GYN, his private practice in Poway, California. He serves women from all over the San Diego area, listening intently to each of their needs and preferences throughout treatment. Dr. Cobb specializes in both medicated and non-medicated childbirth. Each new mother has unique expectations and goals for her birth plan, and he works tirelessly to meet or exceed all of them. Dr. Cobb received his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating, he moved to St. Louis for his residency training at St. John's Mercy Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in cosmetic surgery through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, where he attained extensive training in body cosmetics. Today, Dr. Cobb works hard to make sure that each of his patients is healthy and happy at each stage of life. He offers fertility treatment, IUD insertions, hysterectomies, and other services promoting women's reproductive health. Additionally, he wants to make sure that each woman is confident in her own skin. He uses his extensive training to also offer cosmetic procedures, such as SculpSure®, a noninvasive body contouring treatment that eliminates excess skin and fat.
