A native of New Jersey, Dr. Young E. Lee earned his M.D. and M.B.A from Tufts School of Medicine. Following medical school, he commissioned as an officer in the U.S Army and completed his residency training in internal medicine at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. He served 4 more years on active duty as a flight surgeon and internist with the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division before moving to California to complete his fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Lee is committed to providing high quality, patient-centered care through shared decision-making and evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Andrew Chen was born and raised in the Bay Area, graduating from college at the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in integrative biology. He earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University after spending time as a personal fitness trainer and graduate student in physiological science at the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan and his cardiovascular disease training at the Scripps Clinic. Dr. Chen's clinical interests include promotion of optimal health through a sound diet and exercise, as well as management of lipids and atherosclerotic disease. His other areas of interest include valvular disease, heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias. His goal is to help educate his patients in a comprehensive manner so that they can play an active role in their healthcare. Outside of work, he enjoys resistance training, following the NFL, and spending time with his son and wife.

Dr. Jeffrey Gorwit completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University where he was elected to the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Gorwit completed his internship and residency at University Hospital in San Diego. He completed an NIH fellowship in Cardiology at University Hospital, San Diego, one of the world's foremost medical research centers. Dr. Gorwit is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Gorwit began Escondido Cardiology Associates in 1976.
