Very Good Staff and Dental Doctor.

Auditing my bills at the end of the year, I found out that I was seriously overcharged on my dental visits. Florida Combined Life Dental showed "member is liable" amount of just over $600 yet I was charged over $2,100 which threw me for a loop so I looked into it. While sounding sincere about the treatments they tell you are necessary when you visit, it is apparent that they are going out of their way to upsell treatments that are not covered by insurance and are quite likely unnecessary. This financial setback is due to my own ignorance and trustworthy nature. However, this is a LOT of money to (over)spend simply because you trust a health care provider. I write this review in the hope that I may help others. It is safer for your pocketbook to not here.

Run from this dentist and her staff. They are so unprofessional and soooo money hungry!

A perfect example of medicine turning into nothing but for-profit…. I had an appointment on 21 DEC 2020 @ 2pm for a regular dental exam as a first time patient at Dr. Yen Nguyen, DDS office in Lutz (17553 N DALE MABRY HWY Lutz). After finishing all the paperwork, the receptionist went over my insurance and said that I will have to pay extra $10 for PPEs. I asked, “What you mean by PPEs?” She explained that I will have to pay for facemasks and gloves used during my exam!!! By the way, the receptionist was not even wearing a facemask… I asked for the office manager and I had to wait for few minutes until she came back from her lunch. Not a surprise, also the office manager was not wearing a face mask, and she came out to the lobby to talk to me. The office manager explained that since COVID started and all patients are required to pay $10 for PPEs. I told her that I will not pay the extra $10 for the PPEs because I find it unjustified and I cancelled my appointment. Now, I would like

Amazing! Dr.Nguyen is the best dentist I have ever been to. She is so gentle and very knowledgeable. I had to get my tooth taken out on an emergency and she was able to help me get out of pain. I was super nervous, but she was calming and quick. Great staff and friendly office.

BIG SCAM! They will recommend procedures that aren’t necessary and will refuse to do a regular cleaning unless you get said procedures done first. Very Expensive!

I had some sensitivity on the lower left molar. After my cleaning they took x-rays and found my left lower molar had cracked. Dr Nguyen suggested I fix it soon. My schedule was open for the fix right now, so Dr Nguyen fit me in, she was able to get me a temp crown the same morning. Dr Nguyen had my new crown made that week and scheduled me to get it in. My mouth feels great with my molar fixed. Dr Nguyen has been my Dentist for over 5 Years and I would trust her with my dental care over any dentist that I have seen over the past 40yrs. The staff is Great and Dr Nguyen treats you like family. I’m glad I chose this dental practice.

My front cap fell out and I panicked because I couldn't find it. Imagine walking around without a front tooth! I called Dr.Nguyen's office late on Friday and they got me in first thing the next morning on Saturday. She was able to replace my front tooth on the same visit and she even filed my other tooth down that was too long. The whole experience was painless and everyone was so pleasant. I highly recommend Dr.Nguyen and her staff-professional, caring, and top notch!

Dr.Yen and her staff are top notch. I like this office a lot and switched over from my other dentist when they got me in on a Saturday for an emergency before I was supposed to leave town for a wedding. Gemmah in the front is awesome with insurance and helping with the dental codes. Everyone there takes time to make sure that I am always comfortable and really care. Thank you!

Dr.Yen is a very good dentist. She is gentle and very professional. I like that she explains everything so that I can understand it. I never knew that gum disease could cause problems with my health until she told me since I try to do everything to stay healthy. She did three fillings on me and they are great! No pain!

Dr.Nguyen is a very thorough and conscientious dentist. I am a pharmacist and have been around many health care workers and she really cares about the patient. Dr.Nguyen even diagnosed my early gum disease, which my last dentists always told me to floss more when I complained of bleeding gums instead of treating it. Wonderful staff and dentist!

Dr.Nguyen did a great job on my braces and I love my smile! She really cares about doing the best for her clients and it shows! Even when I was happy with my teeth, she kept the braces on till they were perfect!

My son went to Creating smiles for Oral Surgery for his wisdom teeth , we was provided with the most excellent care that any patient can possibly get , I highly recommend this office to anyone that need to have wisdom remove . My experience was handle with care and the staff members was very professional.

Dr.Nguyen is very gentle, professional and knowledgeable. She takes care of my entire family. She did a great job on my daughters braces. I had her replace 2 caps on my front teeth and they look so natural. You can tell she takes pride in her work and really cares.

Worst experience ever! They are just out for the money and even when the insurance company overpays, they do not refund it to the customer that they charged. I had to go in for a crown and Gemma came in with paperwork stating that my copay would be $1080. I do not have problems with my teeth, so I had no idea if that was accurate or not.
