Dr. William Strauss, DDS

Beware of Dr Strauss’ billing. I was charged for services I didn’t receive and it was corrected immediately. However I checked with my dental insurance E.O.B. and discovered he didn’t get authorization for his dental plan. Between my wife and myself we were overcharged over $10,000 dollars for a lot of work. I protested with my insurance company and got my money back alone with the BS that the extra charges were due to their special labs. I also didn’t think his work was that good either. My wife liked his work. (Not the billing)

Dr. Strauss does good work, but...their billing is another topic. I had a veneer done which broke several times and Dr. Strauss decided to fix it this time with a crown. The problem patients will learn is in the billing. A 'hidden' charge was applied to my bill for "Lab fees' specifically for doing in-house porcelain work. They will NOT submit this claim to insurance companies because they know charge is NOT covered. Total claim: $1938.00 Insurance allowed: $869.00 my coinsurance: $527.15 but, I was billed $780.50 at the door. Problem in bill also states Dental Insurance estimate is $463.50 yet Dr. Strauss received $527.15. The only explanation of discrepancy was "Lab Fee". There are serious discrepancies between bill provided to me and the one I have from the Insurance company.
