Dr. William Mason, DDS

Dr. Mason is a good general dentist. Because I had blood work done a couple years ago that showed I was highly allergic to many of the common metals in amalgams, I wanted to show him these findings. I needed to know if he could accommodate my special needs. I had an HMO dental plan, and he was the assigned dentist. If he couldn't do this, then I would have to change my dental coverage soon. He informed me that he would be unable to accommodate my specialized needs. I was not even scheduled to be seen by him at that time, I was just there to pick up my lab work. However, as much as I used to enjoy talking to his receptionist, she became very, very rude and screamed at me in front of another lady to "GET YOUR MASK ON", even though it was way after the COVID nonsense was over, and it had been proven that masks were ineffective. Therefore I cannot give the dental clinic much of a rating because of the rude and insensitive attitude of the front desk employee.

Love Dr. Mason! If you go to him, you understand he has reduced hours. He is older, and has earned the right to work part time and enjoy life. If you don't like it, go elsewhere. He is always so friendly and chatty, as is his dental hygienist. They are almost always on time and get me in and out for my cleanings. Betty is a doll, she cracks me up. She runs that place and knows her stuff. Always greets me by name, which is a rarity these days. I've never been lied to or jerked around here for additional costly "extra cleanings" like at Aspen or Castle, so I appreciate not being scammed out of thousands of dollars. Simple, easy, pleasant, small town feel.

Dr. Mason was my dentist for years until recently. He is fine if all you need is teeth cleaning and cavities filled or maybe a crown, but if you have issues or need dentures, I would say you need to go elsewhere. He only works between 24 and 30 hours per week and is not easy to see. He is a nice person, but hard to see if you have an emergency.

My husband and I have come here for almost 2yrs. Dr. Mason gives good care and attention to his patients and his clinic staff. However, his front office staff (Betty) is rude, demeaning, and violates many HIPPA privacy regulations. She has demeaned my family verbally on phone and in person. She refers to your care based on what insurance you have, and Dr. Mason does not address the issues. I HATE having to make appointments for him because of her. They have HORRIBLE availability.
