Dr. Tyrus Montgomery, DMD

After taking x-rays, Dr. Montgomery proceeded to remove my daughters tooth and placed an abutment and crown in her mouth . Although the x-rays indicated the bone was too shallow to support, he proceeded, and when the procedure failed, causing her pain and swelling he replaced the crown ??? of course it failed again since the bone had to be built up to support the abutment and crown. Dr. Montgomery referred my daughter to a specialist, who when my daughter called the office, she found he had died four years prior! I then asked for a specific referral to a specialist in Virginia but his office did not provide. Long story short, my daughter refused additional services from this office and went to a specialist that increased the bone density and clear up the infection, swelling and sensitivity she felt for too long.. not to mention paying almost $5k to Dr. Montgomery and another $5k to repair the failed services from Dr. Montgomery! Negligence and complete incompetence is all I can say!!!

Dr. Montgomery is amazing! He is patient, friendly, experienced, and explains the procedures well and gives you options. He takes his time, does not rush though the visit and he is very pleasant, always in a good mood. The office is welcoming, clean and comfortable and the staff are warm and friendly. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Dr. Montgomery is a wonderful dentist. He explains the procedure as he goes along and I have never felt pain. I would recommend him to anyone seeking dental care.

He’s great. Very Nice and tells you everything as he goes. Even gave my 18 month old a cleaning and she did so well. I definitely recommend him.

I am such a nervous patient. I give Dr. Montgomery so much credit for putting up with me. He was very patient and took his time. I was so pleased and incredibly shocked when he was finished. I never felt any pain.

Save yourself the pain. Don't use this office. A cleaning turned into a nightmare . The office was not only dirty it had a smell. The equipment used to clean looked old and unsafe. I had pain for almost a month .I had pain when I tried eating . The dentist had chat going on while I sat there scared he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. I filed a grevence with the insurance company ,I lost. They had the nerve to send me a bill for 8 bucks for missed follow-up appt. I never finalized

His bedside manner is unbelievably good. He has a demeanor that puts one at ease and he explains his process as he progresses through the examination. He then lays out thevdifferent ways to approach resolving the issues and helps the patient make an informed decision. He is absolutely wonderful!
