Dr. Taylor Parent, DMD

I have been a patient at NCDental since it FIRST opened and upon my DMD retiring, decided to remain and give another dentist a try. My first visit with Dr. Parent was unpleasant and uncomfortable. She dismissed me when I shared where I was exhibiting pain and instead focused on an old tooth saying it must be the source and that I immediately needed a crown. Despite me telling her that the tooth was asymptomatic and had been on watch for yrs, she focused on this tooth repeatedly asking me to bite down "hard" as she stuck a metal tool in it's crevice. She found no source of my pain and I called a friend's father (retired dentist) who gave me a simple and successful fix. I decided to give the practice a second chance given my long history, but my 2nd visit was WORSE! She told me I needed the crown, new veneers (despite no prob for 30! yrs), a mouthguard despite never grinding my teeth, and picked at a pinhole repeatedly until a piece of my tooth broke off! I will NEVER go back.
