Dr. Steven Lin, DDS

I’ve been seeing dr. Lin for over 5 years and what I like about him most is his preference for a conservative approach to watch a tooth and not jump in recommending a filling. He’s not there to make money but for the best welfare of his patients.

He doesn't have a dental hygienist so he cleans the teeth and is not gentle. One time, he was cleaning my teeth and obviously focused on something else that was going on in another room. He should give his patients undivided attention.

This dentist ended up damaging my tooth which then required surgery - at a price tag of $1,980. On April 28, 2021, Dr. Lin installed a permanent crown and happily mentioned several times that he had done it very quickly. One week later I had a very sharp pain in the tooth - just touching it with my finger hurt. I called at 8am the next morning and was told that he was booked and couldn't see me until the next day. Unbelievable - I was in PAIN and it was from a tooth he had worked on. I saw an endodontist and he discovered that the crown had not been ground down properly and caused the ligament in the tooth to become inflamed from the pressure of biting on a surface that was too high. He told me that I may have to have surgery later to remove the ligament and gave me a cortisone shot for the pain. I relayed all of this to Dr. Lin. HE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE nor offer reimbursement for the appointment with the endodontist. I did end up needing the surgery. Go here at your own risk.
