when we first moved to butler eight years ago it was my favorite place. from toys in the waiting room to prizes after the kids are done. then the reception and dentist ladies were so sweet. and then stephanie kobil is a pure gem. she is beautiful inside and out. we miss going there and my kids ask abuot that place still. i wish we could still go but when my husband changed jobs and then got laid off we have to go far away now. but we still appreciate and love her. i think its fun she gives out toothbrushes on halloween.

For the first few years, I really loved taking my kids to Dr. Kobil's office. The staff was very friendly, I liked the waiting room, and Dr. Kobil seemed competent. This all changed in a single day. I took my 4-year-old in to have a cavity filled. He got scared when entering the room and fell into a little heap crying. The assistant said, "Mommy can only stay if you're good." I should have left then and there. Why someone working with kids would EVER deem it appropriate to treat fear as "bad" and threaten to send a parent away because of it, is beyond me. Things went downhill from that point. Both Kobil and the assistant continued to be curt and threatening my tiny kid who was terrified and, at points, clearly in pain. (I kept asking Dr. Kobil if it was possible that it hurt and she kept saying it couldn't be.) I wound up having to hold my own kid down just to get the thing ever with. That was our last visit and I will regret the whole incident for the rest of my lif

Dr. Kobil is excellent with young children. I wish I had a dentist like her when I was little. I highly recommend her office for your kids.

Dental appointments are hard on everyone, but particularly on children. In particular, young children have a really difficult time at the dentist. Dr. Kobil and her staff have created an environment that helps reduce the fear most children feel when going to the dentist. Our daughter reacts completely differently to dental appointments since we began going to Dr. Kobil. If you have a young child, I strongly recommend you give Dr. Kobil a try.
