I had a wonderful experience from start to finish at the Mechanicsville office. The front desk staff was very friendly and kind and Dr. Niemann made me feel relaxed and comfortable through the whole experience. HIGHLY recommend him!!!

The worst customer experience I’ve had for as long as I can remember, especially in the health industry. Until a few days ago, I didn’t even know places with zero customer ethics like that even existed. Brenda called me to verify my insurance information on January 3, a day prior to my appointment. I didn’t have all the details right away, but there was no need to be so extremely rude about it, speaking in such a condescending and demanding way. When I called back with the insurance details, Julia picked up the phone. I tried to clarify with her whether what happened with Brenda was an anomaly and if I could still expect to be treated in a humane way when I come to my appointment. The response was: “Well, what do you want?!” - “To understand whether you guys can provide a reasonably comfortable experience or if I should choose another provider” - “That would be your personal preference” (all that I got from her). Seeing no effort whatsoever on Julia’s part to put my client experience and trust back on track, I made the last attempt at helping them make it right by asking to speak with Brenda’s manager. Julia said she was Brenda’s manager, which was very surprising for me to hear because a manager takes responsibility for the team and makes at least some effort to keep the client, none of which was done by Julia. Therefore, it looked more like one colleague covering for another than anything else. If the office managers in this clinic have so little interest in their patients' well-being and it’s so easy for them to mistreat clients, can I trust the doctor to be any different? Would I put my health and my safety (and my money) in their hands? No. I canceled my appointment and went with another provider (granted, there are many great local options) who not only had a friendly, helpful, and caring team but also was able to see me in a matter of a couple of days and already did what I needed to get done.
