Dr. Ralph Cohen, DMD

Before being seen by Dr. Cohen he had a CT taken of both my jaws. Little excessive in my professional opinion but to be fair I thought I was having a panoramic film taken when I initially sat down. CTs typically are not covered by dental insurance.Dr. Cohen point blank said he would not make me another crown because I had dental insurance and “couldn’t make enough money” off making me a new one. He also wouldn’t make me a temporary crown or recement the crown that had fallen off, which I said I’d pay for. Being a dentist I can understand not wanting to recement the old crown since there was a chip in it but I myself know that this can be easily done with placing some extra composite where the chip is located. Dr. Cohen never looked in my mouth and never read me my X-rays. Never gave a diagnosis on the tooth. So needless to say this was a horrific experience. I’ve never treated a patient like this. Just the inexplicable greed was astounding.

I have found Dr. Cohen is trustworthy, honest, skilled and smart. As well as compassionate. All qualities that are very important to me when choosing a dentist. I am unable to find another office with decent staff and the total package anywhere near my new home in FL. My family will return here forever for our dental work as long as this office is open.

As with other reviews posted, be wary. Pricing is subject to change (bait and switch), he recommends work that is not necessary, is blustery when you ask questions he doesn't want to answer, gets unprofessionally rude when you don't agree to extra work, and finally, will damage your teeth without you knowing. Be an educated consumer and ask questions of any dentist you visit. Consult your insurance company for any expensive work beforehand.

Agree with the comment by Melch. Dr. Cohen is a blowhard and a dope. There are plenty of good dentists in Marietta/East Cobb. Look for a good one.

Just left Dr. Cohen's office. It is Sunday night and I had a toothache all weekend and finally decided to call. I am so happy that I did - he was professional and efficient and my tooth feels 1000 x better. He didn't even ask me to pay a dime - said I could take care of it at my next appointment. A real Class-Act.

No way in hell I recommend this dope!
