Dr. Peter Hoang, DMD

Dr. Hoang is a well-intentioned and kind care provider, but I do not have any confidence in his ability to engage in complex dental work. I have received 3 root canals in my life, 2 were from Dr. Hoang several weeks apart as part of a dental emergency. The 1st was done by another dentist 15 years ago and continues to function perfectly. The two root canals performed by Dr. Hoang have both failed. The 1st failed within 2 months due to a missed root, resulting in an abscess. The second failed 2 years later; as my retreatment begun we found the crown was not properly attached allowing the treated tooth to get a cavity under the crown and a new infection. This may result in the crown needing replacement.During the procedures with him I observed actions in Dr. Hoang's techniques that did not match the work done by the previous dentist nor endodontists I saw (such as latex partitioning of the tooth). I believe Dr. Hoang is well intentioned, but I would not have confidence to see him again.
