Dr. N Farris, DDS

I have been going to Dr. Farris for the past six years for a number of periodontal surgeries and check-ups after having repeated problems with gum and other infections with a different local periodontist. My experiences with Dr. Farris have all been excellent. He cares deeply about his patients, he is always very kind and gentle, as well as friendly. He also works with an excellent professional team who have been with him for a long time, especially Kimberly as his surgical assistant and Kristina for quarterly teeth cleaning and gum pocket checks. I have recommended Dr. Farris and his associates to many of my friends who have periodontal issues.

Brilliant person and exceptional patient care. Highly recommend. I am a health care professional and am very impressed and grateful that I found this practice.

I have not visited other periodontists in the Sarasota area, but I have had prior care in Westchester, NY, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and Chicago. Dr. Farris is incredibly well-read and competent. He loves keeping up with his field, and citing the new techniques & literature. And he is experienced and efficient in his surgeries. His assistants are also top notch, and the practice works well with other professionals. I have already recommended him highly and will continue to do so.

Dr. Farris and his wonderful, kind, experienced, and professional staff have performed three "gum" surgeries to restore healthy gum tissue. They have been very successful and my dentist confirms that he always sees the best results in Dr. Farris's patients. Highly recommended!

Christina did an excellent job with my cleaning. And, Dr. Gonzales always comes in to make sure that all is okay and tells you what you need to do to help keep your mouth healthy. Highly recommend.

I was disappointed how Dr. Farris discussed procedure that he was proposing; he didn't tell the full story. He recommends more procedures than other dentists deem necessary. He is perfectionist (to the point of overkill); smug; and paternal. Often different dental hygienists in his office were rude implying I wasn't taking good care of my teeth--when in truth I meticulously brush, floss, etc. (Heredity plays a big role.) Always left feeling like I was at fault. Find a nicer, better periodontist!
