Dr. Myriam Defay, DDS

Dr Defay has been so fantastic working with my 82 year old mother to get dentures, provided her with a blanket when Mom was freezing cold, even told mom to bring in her electric blanket next visit and they would plug it in for her. She's always on time and efficient, doesn't seem to double and triple up appts as so many Drs do. I have an appt for myself now and then my husband will also see her. She's great!!

I haven't been to a dentist in 2 years but my boyfriend finally convinced me to go for a check up. My brother referred me to Dr. Defay and I went and made my appointment. I cannot tell you how amazing my teeth felt after I left Dr. Defay's office. Her staff is very friendly and the service was prompt. Dr. Defay is a very knowledgeable dentist and cares about her patients. She explained exactly what She was doing and made sure that I was comfortable with every step. She's my dentist for life

Dr. Defay is extremely knowledgeable, her practice offers the latest technology and she is prompt, efficient and on time. She has the best interest of her clients and cares about the long term outcome which is very important. Highly recommend her to everyone!

If you're looking for a new dentist, Dr. Defay is the Dentist! She gives you a play by play of what she's going to do. Will check up on you while she's doing it and what to expect afterwards.....if anything. Hands down the best dentist in Atwater. Sorry other dentists, you're just not up to par. Keep trying though. Haha

Dr. Defay is a great dentist. We have been her patients for years and we would always recommend her. She is also amazing with kids. She explains to them what is going to happen and asks them to raise their hands if it hurts. She is always very calm. My 12-year-old daughter gets very nervous about her dentist appointments. Dentistry at its finest! Fanciest teeth cleaning I've ever been to - But in no way pretentious. Everyone there is kind, and every step is explained to you. Dr. Defay and her Ultrasonic cleaning rule. My teeth are at least 2-3 shades whiter than when I first went in. Still the best dentist around- took me early today, cleaned my teeth and filled a cavity in under an hour. Dr. Defay is truly the best. I always have the easiest, most comfortable experience here. If you are looking for a new dentist please take your business to her.

I have been seeing Dr Defay for a few years now. I've been there for routine visits (check-ups, cleaning) as well as major dental work. I have never been disappointed. Dr Delay and her staff are always very friendly and caring for their patients. I highly recommend her as a dentist!

I really love coming here. I've been seeing Dr. Defay since I moved to the Atwater 3 years ago. Their new office is very nice. They're not a business who tries to gouge every penny from you. They've been very reasonable and patient with my insurance and personal financial situation. I've let my teeth really deteriorate during the years I didn't have insurance nor a job. Go here, they have a wonderful doctor and staff. They are caring and informative. The office is very clean. The doctor makes sure to answer all questions and is always concerned that your comfortable.

This dentist should never ,ever be allowed around children ,ride and aggressive. Lied to me . When i told her i wanted to be in the room,she decieded she didn't want me to. So had the staff lie to me. They told me it was there decision, my minor child is not there decision. And they didn't have to lie ,then when I caught them ,tell me that they decked not me. For have me my consent ,a dentist's does not come above God. They should be shut down ,and no child should ever have to go thru that abuse

Her office claims to accept Denti-Cal (dental insurance from medi-cal), but they won't let you make an appointment. You have to be put on a waiting list and just hope that they'll call you. Even though I was making a first dental check-up appointment for my 15 month old son, they still make you wait. After waiting about 3 weeks, I called back and had nothing for me except the waiting list. It really makes you feel like less than a person, simply because you don't have great insurance.

This year I decided that I needed to find a dentist with a practice a little closer to work/home after seeing the same dentist for 20 years and commuting across town long after it was convenient. Thanks to the impeccable reviews for Dr. Defay, I took a chance and had an initial visit and was not in anyway disappointed with her attention and her office staff's attention to my needs.

Best dental experience I've ever had. Everyone was so friendly and made me feel super comfortable. Dr. Defay took the time to explain everything to me and always asked if I had any questions.
