Dr. Michael Friend, DMD

Dr spent about 90 seconds with me and said…nothing here and left the room.

Let me start by saying the hygienist I’ve seen for the past few years are fantastic. Pleasant, fast, and knowledgeable. I cannot say the same for Dr. “Friend”. While I have a few bad to mediocre experiences with Michael, I’ll speak on my last one this past Tuesday. My hygienist finished my cleaning and X-rays. Michael comes to the door of the room I’m in while activity berating a member of his staff. He was extremely condescending and when the staff member tried to get additional assistance on an issue they were unsure how to handle, he dismissed them very rudely and said he was done with the conversation. He then rushes into the room I’m in, says my X-rays looks great, roughly looks at my teeth for about 30 seconds, says my X-rays look good again and walks out. I’m not really sure what Michael’s purpose is, but I have only ever experienced him being a dentist once when he fixed a chipped tooth. The fix promptly fell out in less than a month. I’m happy to say that is of this past Thursday, Dr. unFriendly is not longer my dentist.

I just read some negative reviews. Be careful. Those negatives could also be a problem with patient personalities. All doctors have some negatives, and from my experience, it's almost always a patient personality conflict. There are some people you can never please. It's a difficult decision, but go with your gut. Personally, I would never continue to go back if I had a problem with a doctor/dentist. My years as a patient have been nothing but good experiences.

I have been going to this office for over a decade, I have recommended Dr. Friend to family and friends. His team is amazing!

I travel 50+ miles each way to go to him as I do not want to change!

So I’ve been going to this Doctor for more than 10 years and since his expansion the office has changed dramatically. The doctor no longer has the time to put you on his schedule and pushes other dentist providers on you. I tried to speak with the Dr. Friend and his attitude towards the situation was rude and did not even care to know why patient of over 10years would like to change to another dentist. This is not the office for you if your looking for a professional staff or if your looking for that doctor that truly cares about his patients. Dr. Friend is good at his job but don’t count on seeing him on a regular basis even if you only request him

Sooo they are very good in call and charge you for miss appointment but they cannot control a simple “text message” reminder and they blame it on the system. What a horrible customer service and the operator or front desk has a nasty attitude.
