Dr. Melody Herston, DMD

Dr Herston is a wonderful dentist and I would recommend her to anyone!I have always disliked going to the dentist as my teeth aren’t the best.I always grip the arm rests tightly when in the chair, and hope for the best.I will say she has made me feel better about going to the dentist, and always talks me through whatever is being done.

Dr. Herston is the first female dentist I've ever had and I wouldn't go back to a man! She's so gentle and compassionate, and her hands are so much smaller than I'm used to. She's great!

I had a very bad tooth that had to be extracted. Dr. Herston had it out before I realized she had even started. Amazing. Never felt a thing. If you hate going to the dentist like I do, she's your doctor!

Was very nervous about an extraction, but there was no need to fret. Dr. Herston and her staff are all very competent and personable. Extraction was done with no pain just pressure which was to be expected. Will definitely be going back fr all my dental needs.

Had a lower right molar extracted due to an abscess. Not enough Novacaine was administered, as I experienced tremendous pain to the point it elicted tears. Instead of noticing my extreme discomfort and tending to it, was told to sit still and stop squirming in the dental chair. Saw another dentist who stated that either Dr. Herston failed to inject the right nerve, or that she did not provide the correct dosage of this analgesic. My advice: STAY AWAY from this female solo practitioner.

My kids have been going to Dr. Herston for about 4 years now. Never had an issue with her or her staff. They are caring and informational about teeth. Dr. Herston herself will come out and speak to you. So I decided to start seeing her when I got dental insurance. Haven't been to the dentist in 10 years, I did have issues. She explained everything to me and what needed to be done. I went yesterday and had a tooth extracted. Was nervous since the last teeth I had extracted were my wisdom teeth 21

This place used to be great however it haseems now become horrible. Unprofessional rude front desk staff. Will not go back ever

I would definitely recommend Dr. Herston to anyone that wants a caring, conservative, and knowledgeable dentist. She saved my 90 year old husband over $8,000 dollars from a estimate he received from a corporate lady dentist on Tamiami Trail. His appointment today was for a broken tooth and she managed to repair it with a composite filling instead of resorting to a crown ($)- thus again she saved him some money. HE LEFT HER OFFICE WITH THE BIGGEST SMILE I HAVE SEEN ON HIM IN QUITE SOME TIME.

I had my first visit to Dr. Herston yesterday and I was very pleased. Everyone that I came in contact with was very pleasant, the receptionist that set the appointment was very helpful with my insurance and the directions to the office. The hygienist was very thorough, did an excellent job, was great at explaining what she was doing and why and how to avoid future problems. In all it was a very good experience.
