Dr. Mayada Najim, DMD

She is a great dentist, but she has her hands too deep into the admin stuff and things can get messy. For example, I am pregnant and scheduled my cleaning months ago (it is hard to book dental appointments around here, slots fill up fast!). I called the front desk staff when I booked in order to verify that my secondary insurance will cover this cleaning since ill be having three this year. Less than 24 hours before my appointment, Dr. Najim leaves me a voicemail while I am flying and cancels my appointment. I called the front desk the next day to reschedule, and they have nothing until October. I asked why my appointment was cancelled, and they said Dr. Najim was concerned my secondary insurance would not pay and that id be left with a copay or paying out of pocket. I asked them, 'even though I had spoken to you all to verify that my secondary insurance covered a basic cleaning?' They said they told her and she still cancelled. Now im left having to scramble to find another provider.
