Dr. Matthew Wessel, DDS

Wessel is a weasel. I went to his office for 10 years and noticed some employees were gone. I contacted my dental insurance in 2024 and was told weasel was 'out of network' since 2018, I was overpaying and not told. Weasel had a new dental assistant in 2024 clean my teeth and she deliberately screwed-up my crowns and bridge. I needed a tooth extraction and weasel sent me to a doctor who was out of network and want to delay seeing me for weeks. Weasel smiles and lies to your face. I was surprised, since our families came from the same Chicago area neighborhood.

Dr. Matthew Wessel has been our family dentist for the past 25 years, and once again, he continues to be the best dentist we have ever had, bar none. He has integrity. He does not recommend unnecessary dental work. He takes the time to explain what is needed and why it is needed. On the occasion an oral injection is required, he is absolutely amazing..NO PAIN. Dr. Wessel's eye for color is remarkable. When a procedure has required matching our natural tooth enamel with one that is handmade, the result is undetectable. During procedures, Dr. Wessel and his assistants work well together creating a calm and positive experience. Dr. Wessel's hygienists, Julie and Mona, are both professional and friendly and do a great job cleaning our teeth all the while looking out for our comfort. The office staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall, Dr. Wessel's practice gets 5 stars each time we visit. If we could give more stars, we would!!!

Appt w/Dr was to determine if I shld replace my upr partial w/full denture, get implants or replace w/another partial.Implants not option Was inclined toward full denture but talked out of that by Dr W. During the process of preparing 4 a new partial, I complained abt discomfort in my upr right anchor tooth. My complaints (more than one) were ignored 6 mos later when I went for cleaning, she determined a problem w/upr right anchor tooth. Since then have spent $1,500 in effort to save tooth
