Dr. Merz treated my oldest daughter. We were very impressed how she followed her and suggested intervention a little sooner than we anticipated. We always were told age 7 age 7 but at age 5 Dr. Merz saw something and decided to get started. Our daughter has the most amazing smile and thanks to Dr.Merz and the fact her adult teeth all came in early she was out of braces before 6th grade. I get more compliments on her smile than anything else about her. I think giving her that straight smiles as soon as we could gave her so much more confidence and the love to always smile.
Our younger daughter is still in treatment and everything is going perfectly and we are extremely pleased.

I have known Dr. Merz for over 20 years as a patient. She did my braces, my siblings braces, one being a surgey case, dads teeth whitening, and now I am so lucky she is doing the treatment for both my daughters. I do not live near Del Mar but make the drive for my girls to get the best in town.

If it were possible to rate 10 stars, Mary Lynn Merz would get 11! After many years being self conscious about my severe crossbite and crowding... I resolved to do something about it. A little backstory... Doc M had begun my orthodontic treatment when I was in middle school but I was a rowdy kid and would regularly skip appointments... so my parents canceled treatment, to my youthful indifference. So after 20 odd years.... I 'braced' myself for treatment options.... and the only person I thought to call was Doctor Merz. My particular case was a challenging one.... and the good doctor did not shy away from the task, opting to play the long game and create the most beautiful configuration in terms of aesthetic as well as functionality for proper bite alignment. We laughed, I cried.... and after two years my crazy mouth slowly began to look beautiful, which at age 36 is a brand new phenomenon. We still have a little ways to go.... but I'm living life with a brand new confidence and I hone

Dr. Merz did my braces years ago! She is the best orthodontist, friendly, patient, and kind at all times! And her office is so beautiful and great for children AND adults!
