Dr. Mary Karvounis, DDS

Went in for a crown. The first thing noticed was how friendly, helpful and attractive the practice is. From there, it just got better. Dr Karvounis is incredibly careful, knowledgeable and informative. Sitting in the chair and being worked on for nearly 2 hours was the most pleasant dentist visit ever! She is a perfectionist and a warm, caring doctor. Can't say enough. And oh yes, no pain whatsoever.

I was delighted with my experience with Dr. Karvounis's dental office! She was personable, making me feel immediately at ease, and exceptionally thorough in her examination and treatment. Her attention to detail and genuine care for my dental health was evident from start to finish. Highly recommend her to anyone seeking a trustworthy and skilled dentist.

I'm no stranger to a dentist's office. When my longtime dentist retired recently, I wondered if MK Dentistry, which I often see in my comings and goings on Defense Highway in Gambrills, was accepting new patients. I was able to get an appointment within a week of contacting the office, which is a beautifully repurposed single family home, open and inviting throughout with state-of-the-art dental equipment. Dr. Karvounis is gentle, very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. She baselined my current situation, and identified immediate and long term needs. I returned in a few days for Betty to clean my teeth. She is thorough and very professional and offered suggestions for improved dental hygiene. I'm happy that I chose Dr. Karvounis as my new dentist. She and her entire staff are 'top shelf' in my book. Going to a dentist's appointment will not make it to the top of my favorites list, but I know that MK Dentistry will do everything possible to make it a positive experience.

As always, it was a pleasant visit..staff and Dr. Karvounis were warm and welcoming. I was there for my 6 month cleaning and check-up and both procedures were done as efficiently as ever.

I never get nervous about going to this practice. Everyone is cheerful and I’m greeted like an old friend. Dr Karvounis and her staff are true professionals. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Karvounis is a great dentist. I have a series of dental work that needs to be completed. She personally cleaned my teeth and reviewed the work that needs to be done. Most pain free appointment I've ever had!

They are very gentle and make sure you are comfortable during the procedure they are performing by describing what to expect. They do excellent dental work. They are GREAT!

Im literally laughing from the moment walk in to say hi to Tiffany, while Betty is cleaning my teeth (trying not to bite her), till I make my next appointment and walk out the door!

Dr. Karvounis and her staff make visiting the dentist as pleasant as such a visit can be! They are knowledgeable about various dental conditions and perform the necessary procedures with care and skill. They also make one feel very comfortable in this homelike atmosphere. Having the office about 2 miles from our house is a special bonus.

I’ve been going to this practice (previously owned by Dr. Klocko) for about 15 years. Dr. Klocko was a really great dentist so I decided to continue here and am so glad I did. Dr. Karvounis is an expert communicator. She thoroughly explains everything she’s going to do to include why it should be done. She shows you images of your teeth as she’s explaining the process she will use. Throughout the procedure she tells you what she is doing and what you can expect to experience / feel. She uses state of the art equipment and everyone on her staff is friendly and professional (and let me also say I’m glad she retained many members of Dr. Klocko’s staff!). Additionally, Dr. Karvounis is very patient with you if you have any questions or express any concerns you may have. She gives you her complete and undivided attention and she makes every effort possible to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during any procedure. I earnestly believe I could not get better care anywhere else.

I have been going to this office for over ten years. Dr. Klocko made an informed and superior selection when she chose Dr. Karvounis to purchase her dental practice. The staff is very professional and pleasant and always receives me on time! Dr. Karvounis or Dr. K as I call her has a calm and reassuring demeanor. She explains everything from the beginning to end at each dental appointment. I am in awe of her gentleness...even the novocaine shots are painless! I have been very pleased with the care that I have received at regular dental appointments and more extensive dental services (e.g. and dental inlay, implant crown maintenance, etc). I sincerely recommend Dr. K as a first class, exceptional dentist!!

They are always very prompt - office is extremely clean and very well organized. Staff is awesome. Very friendly and professional.

Dr. Karvounis and her staff are all so wonderful. She and her team have provided excellent care to our whole family, including my two kids who are not the easiest patients. Betty is wonderful and very kid friendly, she knows just how to put them at ease. Dr. Karvounis is excellent at narrating step by step exactly what she is doing during dental procedures, which is reassuring whether I am the patient or the parent. Tiffany at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. We can't recommend Dr. Karvounis and MK Dentistry enough!

Excellent. My father was a dentist. He was the Best! With the newer eruipment, Dr. Karvounis has the expertise. Experience, and perfection I want for a dentist. I highly recommend her !!
