I was there to get a tooth extracted as my regular dentist had been out sick and we had to reschedule, the quickest she could get me in was a month from now and the hole in my tooth is causing me pain. So I opted to see him because he could get me in much faster. When I first met him I told him about my anxiety regarding dentists and why. He numbed me up, THEN the gal took the X-ray. They left me sitting there long enough for the numbing agent to take effect then came in and proceeded to tell me that the x-ray was unclear and I would need another x-ray but that their machine was down so I would need to reschedule. This should have been discussed right up front and the x-ray completed before numbing me up and adding to my anxiety.
