Looking for a new dentist
I have gone to the dentist every 6 months for over 40 years for cleaning and checkup. I was in for a cleaning and was told I must have had periodontal disease before and I said I had not. I was told I would need to come back for a descaling and that I had some teeth with fillings that needed crowns. My hygienist cleaned my teeth so I didn’t need descaling and I left with recommendations for 8 crowns totaling over $12,000! I am working through my insurance to find another dentist.

After getting a filling replaced by a crown, I returned several times with cold sensitivity. The dentist adjusted the bite, and said it can take up to 6 months for sensitivity to go away (several times). Now, 6 months later, I visited a second dentist for an opinion. I should have had a root canal and dr Richard set the crown incorrectly and will cause more cavities in the future, so I need a new crown as well. insurance will not pay because of how new the crown dr Ricard places is. Not happy

The priority of this office is obviously sales. Went in for one crown and was told I needed another, would I like to go ahead and get prepped while I was already numbed? I fell for it, and insurance turned it down, leaving me with a huge balance. At that same visit, Dr Maria told me she filled a tooth - after she did it!! Dr Maria also refused to give me an additional numbing shot, and I spent the remainder of a visit moaning and sweating, in pain, while the tech repeatedly apologized!!

No transparency in their billing. Billing practices are questionable
