Dr. Lawrence Bartos, DDS

needed second opinion to confirm his wrong diagnosis

My local office can’t seem to keep a dentist; but I go in for cleaning and occasional fillings no issues. This time may be the last I walk in there. Too bad, love the staff. I’ve never left feeling so belittled and frustrated; Dr Bartos is downright rude. Do not recommend.

This dentist can come of as a arrogant, but his staff all stand behind him and after going to him a few times I'm confident to say he's better than most of the DDS's that I have seen. He cares about the overall health of a pts mouth so yes he found a lot wrong with me and it was expensive but every time I had in issue it was resolved within a week or so. He goes into a lot of detail explaining why I needed things which was extremely boring but it did help me understand more bout my mouth than I expected.

Dr Bartos took over a practice that I was already a regular patient at. I had an appointment to get my Invisalign done which my previous dentist (who had left) had me all scanned and ready to go. Dr Bartos took a look and said he wouldn’t touch my mouth with Invisalign. Told me i most likely wouldn’t be able to get it and to go see an orthodontist bc i needed jaw surgery. Funny… i went to an orthodontist who said i was a wonderful fit for Invisalign. I’m 7 months into having Invisalign and it’s been an amazing experience so far. No thanks to Dr Bartos. Will never go back to Penfield Dental Care

My family went to Dr Bartos for years and he destroyed our teeth. We never really had cavities before going to him, but all of a sudden, everyone of us had one every time we went to him. I found out later that his practice was on hard times and he had filed bankruptcy, so he needed the money. This was a long time ago when he was in Lorain and Amherst Ohio, but unethical none the less. Luckily after I realized what he was doing, we found a really good dentist that was able to fix all of the terrible work that was done previously. Amazingly, we went right back to having no cavities after we got away from this crook. He may have changed all these years later, but do you want to take that gamble?

In my opinion Dr. Lawrence Bartos is the worst dentist I have ever met, he is rude, and does a terrible job.
