With respect to Toothless in Cullman, you make no mention if you even discussed with Dr. Tan your issue. All I read is your complaining how much money you paid 3 years ago. Plus, now more to remedy your tooth dilemma. You mention what went well but offered nothing for improvement. Without trying to mitigate your issues, it appears you just needed to vent and possibly felt ripped off. Nothing is perfect in this world, things sometimes get overlooked, and everything costs money, but from my many years of personal experience with dentists, I can attest Dr. Tan does his utmost to satisfy me and any patient, better than any dentist I have ever been to. He really does aim to please and is a competent dentist. As the patient, you hold all the cards as to what dental work you will or will not have done. In addition, one always has the option to get a second opinion. I'm sorry you're frustrated, and things didn't go well. I'd try to turn it around, in a frank discussion with Dr. Tan about it.

I used Dr. Tan at Today's Family Dentistry in Cullman, Al. to fix my teeth. Not having dental insurance, I paid cash for the work consisting of preparation and construction of two bridges. The total cost was $6, 640. One of the bridges came loose in about 3 years. I had to pay more to have the bridge re-glued, even though the anchor tooth had been ground down too short to be a stable anchor for the bridge. The re-attachment only lasted 2 months. The dentist now wants an additional $3,500 to do a root canal , add a crown and fix the poorly done job, correctly. I think that inexperience may have contributed to his initial diagnosis and treatment plan. My dissatisfaction would have been less had he done a root canal and a crown at the beginning of treatment recognizing there would be problems , soon down the road.
