Dr. Jung-Hun Ryu, DDS

November 2022, had a filling put in. Had new shooting pain afterwards and couldn’t eat on that side of my mouth. Told hygienist about it at next appointment and Ryu took a five second look and dismissed it and said everything looked good and just walked out of room without discussing the pain. Hygienist explained that it can take time for pain to subside. 6 months later at not appointment I bring up the pain again (still unable to eat on that side) and was dismissed again, no troubleshooting or asking me questions about the pain, just a quick look and a “It all looks good.” Chose to work with a dentist out-of-network who gave me so much care and attention and helped me work towards a solution over a three month period. Dr. Ryu couldn’t show me an extra minute of his time. I would not recommend.

Recently he has dropped Delta Dental PPO, I was told his fee for cleaning is $125 and exam is $75 so $200 total. Called two other dentists in the immediate area and one takes Delta Dental and other who does not said cleaning and exam would be $119. I made an appt for next month and said Dr Ryu was $200 and office lady commented 'whew that is high.' So I am glad I changed now and no longer go to Dr Ryu. I thought he was good but he is way over priced. Not worth that much more.

Stay away from this dentist. Been a patient since day one of him starting this practice. Over the years, he has shown he does not care about patient care. He literally spends less than 5 min talking to you after your exam. Always new office staff and hygienists. My family and I have patients since 2001. I finally found another dentist, a reputable one, that takes my insurance.

The doctor was excellent; billing and billing clerk was the worst ever. Our bill was sent to a wrong insurance company and then we were sent to collections and threaten with court. I got with my insurance company got things straight and then we were billed for a no-show appointment because we refused to make another appointment at this place. We plan to file a complaint with the BBB
