Dr. Jonathan Scharf, DMD

if you see other reviews, you will find he is all about getting your money anyway he can. he rushes appointments to the point of being nonthorough. tries to do unecessary procedures like doing caps or crowns for every issue. when he tried to fix veneer issues my tooth was much darker to an unacceptable degree and this happened on every tooth he worked on. needless to say he would not stand good for it. dispite his novice mistakes of 101 dentistry, he will come up with every excuse in the book but his own negligence and to top it off he is extremely arrogant. even his staff doesnt hang around for long. he seems to forget that patients pay for and put their personal trust in their dentist to do competent work.

My experience was extremely positive. While I understand others mentioning Dr. Scharf is arrogant, I disagree. He is confident and extremely particular with his procedures. My daughter went through a lot, due to a fall which compromised her front teeth. Her smile is nothing short of amazing and if you didn't know, you would have no idea one tooth is an implant. I will not visit, nor trust another dentist aside from Dr. Scharf.

Disaster - no time to discuss patient treatment; upsells treatment while you are in the chair; dishonest about payment policies (there is nothing written) - insists upon payment UPFRONT BEFORE ANY SERVICES ARE PERFORMED..AFTER the treatment. BIG TIPOFF on his business ethics and practices. There are more ethical dentists to choose from-

He’s incredibly arrogant. Gave me a root canal that ended up getting infected. Will never go back. He pays a ton in advertisements which makes him appear to be the best of the best- but the best thing I ever did was to never step into that office again.

Arrogant, pushes you to get replacement crowns and such you don't need in the guise of "not leaving insurance money on the table"

Doc seems nice but is so full of himself. He makes you feel terrible. Sends you for procedures you don’t need. And the results are not what he promised Front desk staff needs serious work. Very rude. Assistants are nice. But I didn’t get what I paid $25000 for and he will not fix it Also wants ALL money up front before the job is done or he won’t continue. RED FLAG I missed. Ugh

I am extremely unsatisfied with the work in this office. The staff changes and everyone gives me different information. Dr. Scharf did a procedure that I didn't need, which created more problems, more unexpected visits and didn't help the problem for which I went. He stopped for few seconds without explaining well what to expect and how much will cost. Dressed unprofessionally, he is rude, when I complained, he told me to shut up and not to talk because other patients will hear my complaint.
