My root canal was fantastic. The Dr explained everything really clearly and I am very confident the job was well done. I requested the weighted X-ray chest pad and a blanket which I find really calms me and these were ready when I arrived. My complaint was the chair assistant. The Dr had to ask her several times for instruments. She was carrying on a very loud and nonsensical conversation with the other female workers in the office. When the Dr asked me a question I couldn’t even hear him! I wanted to say “Will you just shut up and pay attention to the job you are being paid to do!” I did at one time motion I could not hear the Dr. and she was quiet for a minute. The office was absolutely spotless, which was impressive. So even if a Dr is fantastic, if his staff is bad then the overall experience really suffers.

The staff is over the top. The Doctors are beyond belief. It takes the experience to understand. The BEST!

Two root canals later and now one of my teeth has to be extracted, which was determined by a different endodontist, because Dr. John Vandenberghe was unable to figure out the original issue. Four hours on two visits answering his ridiculous questions about why I thought my teeth were hurting, because he couldn’t figure out where my abscess was coming from, so he blamed me, and when I couldn’t answer his questions he called me a liar for not being able to identify which exact tooth was hurting and told me to have my husband call them if he had questions about MY teeth while calling me sweetie. When I called to schedule a consult because abscess was still there, rude receptionist said they couldn’t see me during my available three hour frame on any day and tried to arrange my work and family schedule to their convenience. Put doctor on the phone, argued with me sarcastically, didn’t take responsibility for unprofessional behavior. Condescending and careless, take your teeth elsewhere.

Caring, kind, patient and experienced. Didn’t even feel the shots! Best dental experience ever!
