Dr. Joaquin Novoa, DDS

Dr. Novoa has been my family’s dentist for several years and our experience with him and his staff has been exceptional. Although going to the dentist is not exactly something anyone looks forward to doing, at least it’s comforting to know that he will always do the right thing. If he feels something is out of his scope, he tells you so, and refers you to a specialist. If only more doctors were Dr. Novoa!

I have been a patient of Dr. Novoa Jr for the past 10+ years and I’ve never had a single bad or unpleasant experience in this office. Melissa is always kind and pleasant over the phone, flexible towards my school/work schedule and eager to bring me in as soon as she can (she even calls me off a waiting list-which is rare nowadays). Lissy and Nilda are always so welcoming at the time of my appointment, are very patient with any and all questions I may have, and are extremely gentle in my cleanings and procedures. As for Dr. Novoa Jr, I wholeheartedly trust him when it comes to my dental procedures, whether it be for preventative measures, cosmetic enhancements, or for treatments of cavities or other issues. Not only do I appreciate and value his professional expertise, I also value his compassion and kindness. Thank you all for making every experience a positive (and pain free) one because the standard of care provided here is hard to come by.

I highly recommend Dr Novoa and his staff. They provide an exceptional and professional service. I needed a procedure on the Friday prior to Labor day and did not have an appointment. I was worried that I would not be able to see him for several days. I called the office and they were able to see me immediately. Nobody likes going to the dentist but when you are in need it is a relief to be able to count on your dentist, Dr Novoa even called me that evening to see how i felt. A rare thing these days. More importantly he also saved a relative of mine by referring the person to a specialist to confirm an oral cancer diagnosis after checking an xray they performed and it was treated in time.

I've been going to Dr Novoa, Senior for over 10 years. He's very warm, caring and isn't looking to dig deep into your wallet. His son, Dr Novoa Jr, is a different story. A few times I've had to deal with Jr he always wants to do X-rays (not because there's anything wrong, just because he likes to do X-rays every year or two). He also always is "looking" for problems even though you're not complaining of any pain or discomfort. I wholeheartedly recommend Novoa Sr, avoid Novoa Jr if possible.
