Dr. Joan Klayton, DMD

Dr. Klayton was the best dentist/orthodontist that I have seen in my many decades of life. One never really looks "forward to" these visits, but I actually do when I visit Dr. Klayton. She is precise and exacting in everything she does. She is super knowledgeable and offers alternatives when needed (i.e., she's not just stuck on one way of doing things because that's all she knows, like so many doctors.) And ... she is caring and super personable (visits with her are actually "fun".) I could not recommend her more highly!

Had my appointment today with Dr. Klayton, her knowledge of orthodontics is truly outstanding! Only doctor to diagnose my bite and tmj issues on the spot. She has not only helped me achieve my smile goals but also has pointed me in the right direction out of pain from TMJ issues. Highly recommend!

Dr. Klayton is phenomenal! I have never in my life worked with an orthodontist/dentist who was as meticulous as she is. She paid attention to even the tiniest detail, which put me at ease and made me know I was in the best hands possible. On top of her expertise and precision, she has a loving, tender demeanor that added to my ease. She makes going to get dental work done from something we all dread into a pleasurable experience. When Dr. Klayton examined my daughter's jaw and teeth, I felt I was finally seeing an orthodontist who deeply cares about both the structural integrity and aesthetics of my child's mouth/teeth/jaw and she also is deeply knowledgeable about the importance of enlarging a child's airways, so that they don't develop health issues (like sleep apnea and heart disease) when they are older. I can speak with some knowledge about this, because I underwent orthodontics myself as a child and worked with 4 different orthodontists in two countries over a period of 4 years! I was highly disappointed in the results I received as a child, therefore I know I am more particular than the average parent when choosing an orthodontist. Dr. Klayton answered all my questions and I did not feel rushed. She also showed me photographs of the work she has done for other children, and seeing the excellent results she obtained gave me great confidence in her ability. It is worth it to wait for her appointments.

My family has been patients of Dr. Joan Klayton for many years. She treated my two daughters as teenagers and me as an adult. We chose to use Dr. Klayton because of high recommendations made by other patients. Her level of care with each family member has been exemplary. We couldn’t be happier with her skills and the kindness she has exhibited. Each of us now has beautiful smiles for which we are truly indebted. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Klayton

STAY AWAY FROM ZEIK DENTAL FOR ORTHODONTIC WORK WITH DR. JOAN KLAYTON. I had a very similar experience to the person that provided a review on May 01, 2019. When signing up for treatment, it is never disclosed that Dr. Klayton is only be available ONE DAY PER MONTH, as she works at multiple locations throughout NJ. To make matters worse, once you are able to schedule an appointment, the visits take well over an hour. My son had to constantly deal with broken/loose brackets, broken wires and a number of other issues that always took place within hours/days of the visit - this resulted in issues with scheduling emergency visits at an alternate location (if you complained enough and were lucky to be offered that option). After 2 years of ineffective treatment, we went to a new orthodontist and had to reset my son's treatment and paid for all new braces. I urge other parents to post their negative experiences - everyone deserves better treatment than what is offered by Dr. Klayton.

. If you need braces and value your time and money, do not entrust your treatment to Dr Joan Klayton. I never write negative reviews on anyone but, I feel compelled to keep others protected from her unprofessional practice. My chi Was under her care for one year and is about to have her braces removed and reset by someone qualified- starting from scratch due to her in affective treatment. 3 different orthodontists that I have interviewed have agreed that the treatment was sub par If you need emergency treatment, example loose a bracket, she is only in the office one Thursday evening per MONTH. They do not tell you this when you sign up. She tells you it’s no big deal even if you loose several between visits. If you complain enough she will “sneak” you into another office. She accused my child of being non compliant with appropriate foods as the reason why she was constantly loosing brackets, most fell out within the same week as her visits. Overpriced Overbooked
